About Us

With a desire to operate an unique farm, Brown's Haven Family Farm started with three alpacas during a September weekend, gradually adding a few furry members to our herd at a time until we have grown our operation. All of our products are 100% handmade from the fleece of our registered suri alpacas on traditional spinning and weaving equipment in our home. With only around 10,000 registered suris in the US, this is truly a unique and desirable fiber. Suri is silky, lustrous, strong, and exceptionally warm. It possesses qualities such as fourfold superior warmth to wool, antimicrobial and antifungal properties, extremely small scale structure for softness, and high abrasion resistance. It is also hypoallergenic and lanolin free!
